TURBO: TURBO is a student-first ride service at Central University, Miotso. Every driver is checked and verified by TURBO, and every ride is in a quiet, white electric car (EV). You see the price in the app before you book, so you always know what you’ll pay.
TURBO: TURBO takes you up to 18.5 km from campus, as far as Ashaiman China Mall. Use it for early lectures, a late ride back from the library, short hops across campus or a trip home at the weekend. You can book your ride back too.
TURBO: Rides start from as low as GH₵16. The exact price for your trip is shown in the app before you book, so there are no surprises when you arrive.
TURBO: A shared ride only happens if the Turber already riding accepts it. It’s always their choice, and they can say no. If they accept, everyone in the car gets 37.5% off that ride. Shared rides only match Turbers of the same gender, and there are never more than 3 Turbers in a car.
TURBO: The Founding Package is 60 rides for GH₵960, which works out at GH₵16 a ride. The rides are valid for 60 days, and there are only 50 Founding spots. It isn’t on sale yet: it opens soon, and people on the waitlist hear first.
TURBO: Turbo Flex is pay as you go. You top up your TURBO wallet with mobile money or card, then pay for each ride from your wallet in a tap. Turbo Flex is opening soon.
TURBO: You pay in the app, with mobile money or card. Choose the Founding Package for 60 rides up front, or Turbo Flex to pay as you go from your TURBO wallet. Both are opening soon, and waitlist members hear first.
TURBO: Yes. You can book a return pickup for later, so your ride back is sorted before you leave. It’s handy after a late lecture or at the end of a day out.
TURBO: Every TURBO driver is checked and verified by TURBO and carries a TURBO Driver ID. Before you get in, ask your driver to show his card, then check that the face, name and plate match what the app shows you. If anything doesn’t match, don’t get in, and contact TURBO.
TURBO: Once your ride is on its way, you can follow your driver on a live map in the app. If anything feels wrong during the ride, the SOS button gets you help in one tap.
TURBO: Yes. The TURBO web app is at turboghana.app/portal, and you can use Add to Home Screen so it opens like any other app on your phone. Apps for iPhone and Android will follow later, and waitlist members will hear first.
TURBO: Sign in with your phone number and the one-time code we send you. You can also sign in with Google, or with Apple on an iPhone. Keep your code to yourself and never share it with anyone.
TURBO: You get your own Founding student number, and you’re among the first to hear when the Founding spots open. Joining takes your name, phone number, email and gender (shared rides match the same gender). No spam: you can unsubscribe at any time.
TURBO: Our privacy policy explains what we collect, why we collect it and the choices you have. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link, so you can stop our emails whenever you like.
